The Dunes Golf Course

Considered by Many to be the Best on the Mornington Peninsula

The Dunes Golf Course is the closest to Arcadia in Rye and considered by many to be the best. It offers two courses, a challenging 18 hole links course and a more friendly 9 hole course.

Designed by Tony Cashmore, The Dunes achieves the very difficult objective of being a challenge to the low marker without being a monster for the higher handicapped golfer. The tournament course is 6436 metres while the 9 hole Cups course is a delightful par 33 and very popular with juniors and local residents.

Accolades include being ranked among the Top 20 courses in Australia for the past 15 years. The Dunes also consistently ranks as Victoria’s #1 public access course and among the Top 3 public access courses Australia wide.

Whether you are a golf pro, enthusiast, fan or just love to explore new places and sceneries, the Dunes Golf Course is for you. This golf club welcomes guests so you can freely drive up to the main clubhouse car park without any limitations. Here, you can admire the beautiful nature and surroundings, watch golf players practice their golf shots on the training golf ground located at the right side of the access road or just enjoy the sunshine and tranquil atmosphere of this great place.

Moonah Links with two exceptional courses, the Open Course and the Legends Course

Moonah Links Golf Course

Offering Two Exceptional Courses

Moonah Links boasts two exceptional courses, the Open Course and the Legends Course.

The Open Course at Moonah Links is the first ever 18 holes built and prepared for a national championship. It measures 6783 metres, so it offers more than a casual stroll in the outdoors. It is a mighty and ferocious test of golfing ability, the likes of which even the top pros only occasionally experience. In terms of difficulty, it is estimated a club-handicapped player would merit an extra eight strokes assistance to return a net par score, yet the course has great flexibility. It can be played at many different lengths depending on the tees selected.

The Legends course, whilst considerably shorter and therefore not quite as difficult, still offers the handicapped golfer a challenging, yet memorable, experience.

St Andrews Beach Golf Course located in ‘The Cups’ region

St Andrews Beach Golf

Metres from the Thundering Gunnamatta Beach

It is built on a stunning piece of land that lends itself perfectly to the tradition of the famous links courses of Britain and Ireland and can be compared favourably with the courses in Melbourne’s famous sandbelt region. Internationally renowned golf course architect, Tom Doak is the designer of this classic 18 hole links style course and his aim was to create one of the best golf courses in the world.

Since opening for public access play in 2009, St Andrews Beach has maintained its position as one of Australia’s premier courses with Golf Australia Magazine placing it number 4 in Australia in 2015 Public Access Top 100.
